Bumps Bruises & Skinned Knees

When I was a kid, my parents were always telling me to go outside and play.  Like most kids, I had an extensive amount of energy, not so much to be 'labeled' by an A.D.D. disorder, but enough to where burning off the excess was necessary.  With fidgety hands and the attention span of a gnat, reading was not the primary source of fun.  Thankfully, my parents had bought me a skateboard probably as early as 6 years old.  On came the Bumps Bruises and Skinned Knees for years to come.  Let me remind you that there was no complaint from me.  Starting as a novice siting on the board and shooting down hills, quickly I progressed to doing tricks as a teen.  The harder tricks seemed to leave their mark of welts that wrapped around my ankles like ugly tattoos.  As the saying goes, 'No pain, No gain'.  As I would say, 'Bring it On!'

I was raised in a well-balanced family, and actually had parents that were around to dust me off or muster up a band-aid for those rough spills.  Tough to say for some kids now-a-days.  Whether my parents were around or not didnt change much.  I never had a problem with alittle blood on my pants or dripping from my elbows.  As my dad would say, 'girls dig scars' and 'it'll put some hair on your chest'.

Boy's at a young age need a manly influence to rough up the ego.  It makes me sad to see these young boys learning feminine ways.  Elementary students are gender confused.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!

I will only buy the Single Mom/Parent excuse until kids mental well-being is jeopardized.  Tragically, this new bill SB 777 had opened the door to practically 'brain-washing' kids who are not at an age where they can make decisions.  The rumor that the brain is still growing until age 14 should be a big clue that legislation like this will compromise the foundation of a child's mind.

Is this a Gay Agenda?  Are we building the 'Aryan Race' of a Homosexual society?  Let me reiterate, the question.  The current generation of Anti-Heterosexual people are basically creating a new generation to carry on the heritage of past generations.  History repeats it-self.  Apparently its starting at a young age.

Now I must defend my relationships and friendships with Gay people by stating that most are not malicious, evil, and full of bad intentions.  Hope not to personally offend anybody specifically but I do disagree with the union of same sexes.  Also with the influence of fashion.  I have a hard time shopping at the Gap, Hollister, and A&F.  Obviously I am not their target demographic because I like big baggy jeans that sag, a over sized hoody, and some skater shoes that leave me swimming in an ocean of comfort.

If your a parent, please understand that I respect you caring for your child's well-being.  Thats more-or- less your job.  Try to leave the over-protective paranoia aside and just be their to dust off the dirt, wipe off the skinned knees, and have a few band-aids in the medicine cabinet.  The playstation will be there when its too dark to play outside.  The idea of a reward system for being responsible will encourage your child.  A night cap of few video games wont hurt.  Freedom will be build by trust and might cut down on the cost of a babysitter.  Be the rudder of your child's ship, and guide them to be confident in their uniqueness, sexuality(age specific), and independence.
